I don't find anything difficult about preparing vegetables but perhaps that's just me?

It's catching them that's the tricky part.

Huh? You just walk over to closest cow and shave off a slice?

How about the time and energy it actually takes to PRODUCE what you eat?

Potatoes and rice are extremely easy to prepare. Raw vegetables: tomatos and cabbage in the salad - only add oil and vineger.

OK, someone want to share some simple good vegie meal composition?

Heat some oil, put a good piece of onion on it, put rice on it, and heat it so rice will get some solid color. Pour water over it, salt it, add somefresh peas, cook about 20 minutes (until all water vapours out). It's simple, if you do it right, it's delicious.

Being a vegetarian or a vegan does not mean you eat vegetables all day long and that's it...

I have been a vegetarian for almost 6 years and feel much better than I did when I ate meat. I didn't switch to a vegetarian lifestyle because of dietary reasons, although those are a definite bonus.

As long as you do your research beforehand and know what you need to eat to stay healthy, a vegetarian or vegan diet can be an excellent choice.

A friend of mine always goes on about how he likes 'rare' red meat because it makes him feel "angry and horny". He even starts to crave it after a few days.

Makes me wonder just what they're pumping into those cows. :p

YukHwae ... isn't there also some French dish with raw mince and onions with a raw egg cracked on top?

I'm literally salivating at the thought...

Raw egg? Salmonella. Think twice. I mean it can happen.

Yes, meat, especially raw, makes you agressive. And this is why many vegans say why they feel good without meat.

Im a activist for PETA (People for the Eating of Tasty Animals). Also, if we where not made to eat animals, why are they made out of meat? Here is a question I have never seen a vegan (due to saving animals) answer

Q: There is a carnivore dying of starvation, there is a innocent deer close to him, is it bad for him to eat the deer?
A: No, that is nature taking its course, the ones higher on the food chain eat those lower on the chain.
Q: And humans aren't at the top of the food chain?

Seriously though, humans have smaller intestines then that of a meat only animal, but larger then any fully vegan animal. Alsomt as if we are supposed to have a balance of both.

When I was a vegan (for almost 2 years, see my previous post in this thread), I hated telling people, because I didn't want to get this stigma of being all "save the animals" and stuff.. because a lot of veg's are viewed that way... but I was a Bio teacher for a while.. I dissected animals.. I just didn't want to eat them... and my main reason was for health purposes... who knows what the hormones that are given to animals will do to us? Or, for that matter, the pesticides that are sprayed on veggies?

Some day, we'll realize that our eating habits are what is giving this world all its cancer and diseases. You can make bad choices whether you're a meat-eater or a vegan.... so, if you can afford it, grow your own stuff or eat organic meats and veggies... If you can't afford it... well... pray and ask God to bless your food...

I don't think it's right to bash other people for what they eat (or don't eat) ... but I think that all people should be educated about the chemicals you are putting into your body by way of your food...

    ...just my two cents...

and some vegetarian think they are "better" because they don't eat meat, that's stupid too

I definitely don't think I'm "better" for not eating meat... I actually only bring it up when a friend or relative brings it up first. As the only vegetarian in an all-meat eating family, I have received a lot of criticism and jokes from other members of my family for my decision.

I don't shove my dietary choices on others. I simply ask that non-vegetarians respect my decision and not make jokes at my expense.
