I am thinking about becomeing a wholesale/dropshipper for automotive accessories. I have dealt with one of the largest wholesalers in this field for about 15 years. And in my dealing, have also made some pretty good contacts with the actual product manufacturers. I have implied on more than one occasion with several of the manufacturers that I would possibly be thinking of setting somthing lik this up in the future. They seem all for it as they see another avenue to distribute their product. I am sort of testing the waters here to see if there would be any kind of interest in this area of online retail. I am thinking of charging a membership fee of just $10.99 per month as well as a $2.50 charge per address, plus actual shipping charges. Thinking of having a $500 deposit that if you maintain your membership for 6 months, would be refunded. What do you guys think on this. I am open to any and all suggestions. Would rather know now, rather than get pretty far into it only to see it was not such a hot idea. I have enough in place now though, that I could be up and going in 3 months or less. Let me know what you think. Thanks
The success of your business will depend on how good your supply channel is. Being as you are the middle man in all the deals, you need to be damn sure that you can get your product same day / next day to your customers clients. The only way we have been able to make that level of commitment to our customers is to stock millions of dollars in auto parts. If it were as easy as selling someone else's stock, we would all be millionaires.
