    As with anything - download a business plan template and work through it.
    • What will you bring to the forum that people can't get elsewhere?
    • Who are your competitors - what are they doing well? and badly? and how many of them are there?
    • What are your strengths and weaknesses?
    • How will you justify the time spent on the forum (income? fame?)
    At a glance the blog seems to be like many others out there - your forum will help establish your point of difference, that special something that makes you better than the rest.

    Forums provide user generated content so it can be a great addition to a site but they require a lot of maintenance.
