I havent personally. But i think the main problem with offline advertising is that unless you have a killer recognisable brand name you are putting an extra stage/obstcle in the way of your potential customer. eg. online Ads - user sees , likes, clicks , and wahay there on your site. eg. Oflline ads - user sees, (probably forgets),carries on reading, maybe later goes online, the chances of them still remembering your site are getting slimmer all the time. Just my thoughts...
Well put tommygswfc. I know this to be true. Ran ads in a few including my personal favorite, The Wall Street Journal. There is one thing Slacker84 that you might want to try in regars to the newspapers. Most of the larger ones have a really prodominate presence of online readers these days and they offer online ads that will convert far greater and still be the newspaper audiance. They the newspapers are growing their online presence with and eager attempt to regain the dwindling printed circulation. I hope this will help you be successful with the newspapers. Logic...
thanks for the input .... there are a few good reasons i thought newspapers might be good... like you said, most papers offer online ads as well. In fact, they will even hyperlink your web address instead of just plain text. Another reason i thought it might be good is most newspaper websites keep their past editions archived online, so maybe - just maybe search engines will eventually index that paticular page that has my ad. Just a thought, I could be wrong though.
