Think this is good?

I just started a site about a week ago. I was just wondering, is it pretty good if my site www.sandsword.com is already at the top of 5,500,000 results if you type in this search?

questions about specific sites go in the views forum.

    beyond that:

the number of results is not indicative of how competitive a particular keyphrase is to rank for. I have no idea what a "sand sword" is, but I'm guessing it's not something a lot of people are optimizing (nor searching) for.

sites generally don't have trouble ranking for their own name when it's something obscure or unique, as long as they have at least some incoming links and aren't hit by some major penalty / filter.

Right now I only have about 150 links coming into my site including sigs. And I thought that this would be good in google forums because it is about search results

I could have registered domain gravelsword.com and my site would rank first for "gravel sword". It is so because your niche has no much competitors, if any at all. But that is superb for you!

Well considering the fact, that you rank so well,is probably because the keywords "sand sword" aren't very optimised for.But nonetheless, your site will get some traffic when the keyword "sand sword" is searched.Especially if poeple knows alot of "sand sword"s,your site will get traffic, cause obviously they will type in the keyword "sand sword",to find the most relevant site.

    the keyword matters a lot.

in the 5,000,000 results probably almost none of them are trying to rank for that search term. It just happens that they have both of those words in their page...

Try that with a new gambling/financial website and it will take you years to get on top for good keywords...
