Just bought a PS3 and its great how ever I have been looking at some Wii videos and it is awesome how you can interact with their games and the controller!! What do you thinnk should I sell my PS3 to buy me a Wii??
Sell your PS3 on eBay for like $1000, and then spend the $200 to buy a Wii. Go back to your retailer and buy another PS3. Conclusion: You'll have a PS3 and a Wii plus some leftover money.
Don't sell your PS3. It's better than the Wii in almost every aspect except the one you mentioned. Oh and if you sell your PS3 you could probably buy that back, get a Wii, and get a 360.
Unless you are... *under 12 years old *need exercise really bad *over 50 and want something for the grand kids Then you'd be stupid to prefer a Wii over a PS3. And they're only going for about $7-800 on ebay now.
I'm thinking about getting one off of Ebay if I don't find one soon. I can't believe that haven't had more shipments around here yet.
If you can profit from it, sell your PS3 and buy a Wii - there's no good games out for the new Playstation yet anyway! Put the extra aside, then when you're sick of frikkin Zelda and Mario [ugh, the names are enough to get me sick of them but to each their own ], buy a PS3 again. Hopefully Motorstorm and a few other decent titles will be out by then Btw, the PS3 controllers have the same/similar motion sensing as the Wii - just no games use it yet...
I totally disagree. I get sick and tired of people telling me about how great the graphics on the PS3 are. Anybody who paid more than a $1,000 bucks for a PS3 for better graphics got ripped off, period. People seem to forget that the only "real" difference between PS2 and PS3 are the graphics. They are both still 3D. Its not like Sony release some Virtual Reality System that is totally revolutionary. And yet, morons ran out and paid for it( if you bought it for $600 and sold it for $3,000, you're a brilliant business man or woman. If you paid that much to own a PS3, you're not a business person.) The graphical difference between PS2 and PS3 is not like PS2 and Super Nintendo, but people want to act like man just invented the wheel or discovered fire. Give me a break. By the way, I'am not a Nintendo Fanboy. I'm just calling it how I see it. At least Nintendo tries to focus on creating a new game play experience. The push for the best graphics is really old, and they are reaching their limit. I wander what the video game industry is going to do in 2012? You should have got Wii. It is cheaper, and Nintendo focuses on substance. All they need to do is come out with better(mature) games. Just my two cents. One more thing. For those of you who paid $2,000 dollars or more to actually "own" a PS3, instead of reselling it, you could have bought an Alienware Laptop with a grapics card that could rival, or surpass, the PS3. Not only that, you could have actually used the laptop to do something useful........like make money.
The PS3 does have a blu ray player and they sell for about $600.00 alone so that justifies the cost. It cost Sony about $750.00 to produce a PS3. Having said that, I picked up a PS2 for my son for $120.00 CAD as the only selling point for me of the PS3 is the blu ray player and in a year or so they'll drop in price and we will know whether the blu ray format or High Def DVD format will win out win the movie companies.
@Tesla - That was some rant If you check the specs of the PS3 more closely, you'll see it is pretty awesome compared to PS2, but not worth $1000 or more lol. I mean, what games are these ppl gonna play worthy of laying out that much $$$? Nothing yet... but watch the demos/screens from Motorstorm and tell me you're not impressed. And it optionally uses the motion sensing controller like a virtual wheel. @netmaster123 - I read that on eBay, the average PS3 selling price was $1100, try slapping it up there with a buy it now, gotta be worth a go
I was discussing the Wii with a friend (his office got one) and he said he didn't like it much because you basically have to stand all the time to play the games.. which in itself isn't too bad but who wants to do that for Zelda? (I'm still trying to get one >.<)
I haven't seen the Wii yet, the first commercial for it just aired last night. Could someone point me to a site with some more information?
