I am 18, am going to be starting college, and honestly, I've lost a lot of my old friends already out of jealously. They hate the fact that I have been making 5 figures at my age. But, I have met new people who enjoy hanging and that is only one more reason to take my knowledge of online marketing further. I had an idea to host a seminar either for small business SEO or making money with methods, make it free, and soft sell with a 99 page book at the end. I have no doubt in my mind that I can show them ways to start and that I know what I am talking about, but what would they think if they walked in and saw an 18 year old teaching them how to make money? Or maybe should I round up a public speaker from CL to help me out?
I think it's a great idea, but keep in mind there is a lot of competition out there in the online Webinar space...the one benefit that you will have is that you will do it for free. I run an SEO Seminar here in Los Angeles at a physical location that has so far gotten off to a good start, plus at a $249 a person hope to start making some decent money, although getting it off the ground has been a challenge. Congrats on your 5 fig salary at 18...that is really amazing!
Your audience would definitely be surprised, some might be put off maybe but don't let that stop you. If you are confident that you can help your audience earn online through your methods, then go and host a seminar by all means. Make sure you have your presentation all set and KNOW what you are talking about because you'll be barraged with questions for sure. As long as you give value to your audience, and humble with your success, I'm sure your age won't matter at all. My two cents. Have a good weekend!
