Think I'll exceed $200 for my first month :))

At the moment I got an adsense income of just above $150, and its still 1 week left until I have been trying this for my first month And the site i run it on was fresh too, I started it with the intention of running adsense on it, as well as have something interesting to do as the subject of my site is related to my dearest interests. So, all in all, $150 in 3 weeks, for a website that didnt even exist 1 month ago, you think this is a good start? Gonna try work on my traffic next allthough its pretty decent allready

What I have done is to make sure I get a lot of visitors (I have around 2000+ a day for the moment) using free resources such as getting people to link to my site, and posting links to my site on free news services like digg.com, shoutwire.com and other similar places as I run a news site myself. That brings alot of traffic alone. I also have a big amount of content covering many topics that gets me a decent traffic from google too. And put the ads in good places on all pages of my site. Of course I also blend the ads with the background color and font style/color of the rest of my site so it looks as much as possible as a part of my site and not like ads. I also have a menu on top of my site for navigation, and right below it I have placed a leaderboard as its good to have ads close to the spots people click the most. On the left of every page I have a skyscraper, and under each headline I have put a graphical banner ad. I have all pages white for the moment, with links blue, and the same goes for the ads.

How have you been able to generate so much traffic to get this amount in your first 3 weeks (or is it insanely high CPC)? Is it natural traffic, adwords, other means?

 

I have not paid anything for traffic its all free from commonly available sources as I mentioned above and search engines. Im trying to see how much I can earn spending as little as possible. So far I only paid $11 for the domain and $80 for one year webhosting.

 

Wow congrats! My first month I got $1,221.68 but only 400 profit.

Keep up the good work. What you're doing is a hard thing to do.
