Hey guys, I just need your opinions and views here! Be kind! Okay, I just got indexed on Google, well... My index page did so I have 1 page on Google, lol, that's okay because it's a start... I was thinking that Google wasn't even going to index me at all, but anyway yeah I just got indexed about a few hours ago haha! Anyway, I checked the Top 10 results on Google for a certain keyword, and 7 out of the Top ten had "Fair" results on the SEO Doc Mini Test which is right here: http://www.instantposition.com/seotest.php I optimized my website for 2 keywords pretty much. My index page received 40/40 for both those keywords, then I also have 1 page for 1 keyword and another page for the other keyword, and those both received 40/40 as well. Now, do you think I can eventually overtake the Top 10 if I keep building a ton of links, getting mr PR up, because I obviously already have taken them SEO wise. Thanks!
Worry about getting links...unless you are trying to rank in the top 10 for something completely non-competitive.
yes... roar dude is correct! you might get high rank on your keyword which is not competitive then its useless because it's doesn't give any challenge for you.... my advice for you dude is look for a much more competitive word so your site will get enough exposure and they will be able to see the importance of your website! anyway good luck!
I would love to give you some advise, but it would really help if you share your website and the keywords your targeting.
Yes, you can take top 10 in google, why not? Work hard and be patient. If you need any further help please provide more details of your site.
Alright, maybe I could use some help, hehe. The keywords I'm targetting is "myspace layouts" and "myspace codes"... My website is http://www.urflair.com Check it out, let me know My main page.. http://www.urflair.com/index.php Targets both "myspace layouts" and "myspace codes" One page... http://www.urflair.com/Layouts.htm Targets "myspace layouts" The other... http://www.urflair.com/Codes.htm Targets "myspace codes" I run a member system, for the simple fact that when I do major updates, I can let my members know so they will come back. I don't use it to spam or sell it (respect privacy). My philosophy is pretty much "auto content". I added sections to make comments on each Layout/Code, I added links to Discuss it a the Forums, my Forum is optimized for search engine indexing, I have a "contribution" type thing where people can contribute their stuff, I even have a points system to encourage contributions. My philosophy is eventually, when I get a few hundred members, some will start contributing, and others will follow, and eventually the website will grow on it's own, making it more reacheable by search engines. That's pretty much my whole philopshy.
Take 3 or 4 hours and submit to as many directories as you can. There are litterally about a thousand of them you can find from this site. Vary "myspace layouts" and "myspace codes" as the title. Try to pick up a link or 2 every day with that as the anchor text. Sooner or later you will be good.
Thanks a ton for the advice, any more advice will be appreciated! Hmm, wonder if there is a directory list on DP forums yet? Any suggestions where to find? Hehe, I have submitted it to about 20-30 directories already though, those directories are taking forever + 10 years.
Course you can do it. Ive done it with heaps of sites and now I offer it as a service (no i dont want business!). Point is I never did a course, or read a book, all the SEO skills are available on the net in forums, you need to put in the hours though. Non competitive SEO is a laugh, you can get top 10 on Google or even number 1 spot in a week on non competitive keywords. have fun. Steve
Yes, so I guess I'm over and he's under. It takes somewhere in between.... maybe a couple years if you really market it
