    you mean an invisible anchor text? if so, dont do it you might get penalized.

    Depends on your site's visibility and PR I think. If Digg does it , there will be some things hitting the fan.
    If you do this on less than 500 uniques/day site, the chances of getting poked are small. But in the long run, I don't think this is a good strategy.
    Google allows you to make good money even by playing fair, and risking losing your account is rarely worth it.

    It's against their webmaster guidelines to do this sort of thing - underhand and unfair to everyone else trying to honestly get traffic and SERPs. I recommend you don't try it.

    Right from Google's program policies:

    Sites displaying Google ads may not include:

    * Excessive, repetitive, or irrelevant keywords in the content or code of web pages
    * Deceptive or manipulative content or construction to improve your site's search engine ranking, e.g., your site's PageRank

    I think what you want to do fits into one of these categories. Besides, Google will also ban your site from the search engine if you do this. The person that owned GeekGods before me did this and I had a bi**h of a time getting it back into Google search engine when I bought it.
