A brilliant book, first published in 1937. I think every aspiring entreprenuer should read it or listen to the audiobook version. Full post on it: here
Napolean Hill... great book. The book has been revised many times so that it is still relevant to modern times. I really don't like the title. Thinking on itself is going to get you nowhere... Think, Do, And Grow Rich is more of an appropriate title. Don't be a thinker be a doer. BTW... out of curiosity is this book still under copyright?
Yeah well I think obviously the implication is to think and 'then' grow rich, so the 'do' is implied in the and. It's just abit of light catchphrase marketing, Think and Grow Rich works perfectly in my opinion.
Having a major general purpose or passion, creativity and action is what is all about - Some people get it quicker than others - Read in a motivational book where Col. Sanders had to talk to over 10,000 people before he sold his idea (recipe) for Kentucky Fried Chicken and then there are younger people on this forum that have no fear of failure, a great love for what they do and an action plan and they are making more in a week than most of us make in a year from online business concerns. I Agree with the above - without action your riches and thinking will get you no where. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure--which is: Try to please everybody. Herbert Bayard Swope
The only place it kind of lost me in the book was about the round table discussion with dead people - (roll eyes) - maybe that's why I am not rich - I don't "See Dead People" LOL..
Yes so do I but I don't think the title implies you just 'think' anyway, it's basically saying sort out your mindset the 'and' implicity suggests the 'do'.
I still would assume it is under copyright being that it's being sold for a price on Amazon etc. People prbs just chuck it up for free but it's still published literature, assumingly still copyrighted...
and dont forget that not every idea/thinking will succeed. it may be good for you but others may not like it. until you put your idea to work and experiment it, you cant be sure.
it's a good book. somewhere in the middle there's a 6-step guide on "getting what you want" - practical info. I recommend reading it.
You should read it at least 2 or 3 times, It is so powerful and effective as on today as it was 70 years ago that make it so special.
yes you still have to take action but the thinking is the motivation that helps you take the action or how to take the action
I havn't read this book as yet - But seeing what many members have said about it i may think about giving it a try. Thanks for the link which will hopefully become useful
