I have developed over time some techniques that really give my sites a recognizable flavour. One of my favourites is aplying a 5px 0size multiply drop shadow on an element and drop its opacity to 15 or so %

It's often nice to use a stoke and an inner shadow whilst creating web 2.0. Also a stroke and a regular shadow goes well together, especially if the stroke is set to 0 opacity.
