I've just recently found out, this guy MilitarySmurf has been taking money from people on the Business forum section of DigitalPoint.

I have managed to get in contact with a few people he's stolen money off, which is in excess of $600,.. He lives in Malaysia his name from his PayPal is Goh Jer Fern.

We're all planning to open disputes against him and contact PayPal to get refunds as its not possible to get your money back from a service based payment. PayPal have stated if enough people contact them about this individual they could flag him as suspicious and we could get our money back.

His positive iTrader points were received by him buying small purchases, just to build his iTrader up and fool us lot. Please check his recent iTraders and comments on his profile page and get rid of him to make DP a lot more safer for people to trade.

Note: He uses the name Darrel Ding and his PayPal name is Goh Jer Fern.

This would be his mongoloid mutant monkey face:-

    His email address is militarysmurf@gmail.com

He Steals Money from people in other Forums: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/548184 and http://bbs.buysell.net.my/bbs/showthread.php?t=24642

His address is from a whois : -

There's nothing a moderator can do. Members need to leave negative feedback and take caution with who they are dealing with. I've seen cases were members were wiring tens of thousands of US dollars to Damascus, Syria. Of course, they were scammed. People need to use common sense.

In this case, I see that negative feedback was left. So, that's a good start to protect the community.

Doing business in Malaysia often turns out like this. Indonesia, Pakistan, and Albania are similar.

well i think its not about the location.. its about the people.. you may find good or bad people everywhere in the world so you cant claim the whole country for it.. may be the percentages of frauds from these countries are higher but everyone isnt like dat...

It may sound racist, but somewhat, it's true.

I think what Will is trying to say is a good deal of the people in those locations are indeed a problem, more often than not. Does not mean all, but a great many are. In my 14 years in business and my dads 30+ prior, Malaysia has been one of the worst to deal with in terms of dishonest individuals. A lot of it has to do with the lax set of laws, or lack there of when it comes to things like this.

Scammers in Israel scammed a friend of mine here in the UK for $900 once.. countries like Israel and what will spencer said are more likely to scam. Beware.

Its slightly strange that moderators cannot do anything, since the guy abuses the iTrader system by purchasing small purchases to get good points and then scam for $100s. He is well known across other forums to be fraudulent.. this guy is worse than a spam bot...

Oh I'm getting closer to getting my money back, but it's slightly paradoxical to ban people who may have multiple accounts or spam in the forum. Yet someone who has been caught phishing on this forum is not being banned.. considering his recent iTrader reports ... Great Work Guys ! keep it up.

I've used other out-sourcing sites to hire people.

this is not good, you should not post these types of comments as it looks like the racist one

you can say the ratio is higher in Asia but do not pin point any specific country as these types of activities are happening everywhere..

People like that are lucky they dont live in the same country............... If your reading this Military Smurf..... I will find you.
