Selling thicken.net domain for sale

I had grand plans of building a super-duper URL-shortening service, with cool analytics. Unfortunately, other projects have encroached on my life, and I don't have the time to spare for developing the site.

So I am letting this domain go for the highest bid.

It's currently sitting at PR2 (PR0 when I bought it), and is number four in Google results for the keyword thicken, all with zero advertising. Alexa rank is over 1.3 million with low traffic stats, again for the lack of advertising.

The html, scripting, and database behind the site are not for sale. Trust me, you don't want that code anyway. It's alpha code, and still contains some bugs. More of "proof of concept" code. It works, but it's no good for production.

With very little development and advertising, I think this domain name can easily move up to #1 in search listings, and the Alexa rank can be vastly improved as well.

Let the bidding begin.

 

Just so you know, my idea for thicken.net (as stated) was for a URL shortening service, with analytics to go with it.

However, when I mention it to friends and acquaintances, the first thing that comes to mind is something to do with the adult industry. Male enhancement products? Hot chicks that "thicken" men?

Just an observation, something that I noticed when explaining what to folks what the site actually does.
