Excuse me, but how ignorant are you? I love the way there are these uninformed people in the world that believe that terrorism didn't exist before 9/11.

Have you even heard of the IRA, the Basque Separtists, Baider Meinhof or the Red Army Faction?

Try doing some reasearch before making statements that show you up to be the illiterate that you are

Do you want me to start quoting all the hatred in the bible? Just highlight the entire old testament and you'll have the most hate-filled book ever written ;)

I have actually, but as one good friend once told me "you're not a real christian because you're not Catholic". Dreadful things are done by Christians. It's your word against mine what God might actually want. Who knows, we might all have it wrong. Personally I think it's all about behaviour modification and societal control handed down over the ages. Spirituality has little to do with the modern churches.

There are muslims who also suggest "all terrorists are muslim"

Being aware of that, might not be politically correct, though.

That's not surprising. You're don't seem to be aware of anything being blown up or destroyed, even when it's in your own backyard.

    Were/are. Past/present. Yesterday/today.

Speaking of doctors, you're probably not aware of this doctor either.

I'm afraid you missed some sunday school (I didn't go for many years but long enough to know that your wrong on this point also). Go ask your priest , he will give you some homework...

Actually, if you don't mind, I'm agnostic (with a christian background). I hope I didn't shock you.

One of stupidest thing I read as point out others, it's seems you forgotten history.

Actually, I feel "informed" as well. But most important, I feel able to have a critical reading of thoses informations, many sources, many points of views, and I decide by myself what to think. And I don't think I hold the truth.
Did you ever heard of "scepticism" in it's philosophical meaning ?

In what way does this revelation have to do with the question I posed?

And what did you chose to criticize? The message, or the messenger?

Being aware of the truth isn't something to be ashamed of.

    Your question was :
So I think my answer has to do with your question, because to be informed doesn't mean reading papers or watching TV, it's about being able to think in a critical manner.

And why couldn't I criticize the message and the messenger if I disagree with both of them ?

And you're right, "being aware of the truth is nothing to ashamed of" and you can read my previous posts, I never say so.

But bear in mind that what you think the truth, maybe isn't.

Paranoïd peoples think they'are right to think what they think. And maybe they are, but maybe not.
I was just trying to help you, on the contrary of some people here, I'm not trying to convert

Or, one could look at the source and where it comes from. Quite easy to lookup and verify across the web, or even visiting a book store. One doesn't need critical thinking to decipher "slay the idolators and people of the book." It's pretty self-explanatory. Given that I'm a "person of the book," should someone say "I'm going to slay you," common sense dictactes I'm not going to pause for some "critical thinking."

I give up, why? You did criticize the messenger. But why not the message? Perhaps a revisit to the strategy I suggested. It's a proven strategy and it works quite well on DP. Might as well take advantage of it.

Most people would not come right out and say they are ashamed. It can often be spotted when someone resorts to cognative dissonance; holding two contradictory positions. A state of denial.

Doesn't matter what I think, it's about what's factually correct. Facts will always win over personal feelings. This discussion illustrates that point well.

I appreciate your interest in helping. Being aware of the truth is not symptomatic of paranoia.

How does one answer "blah......blah blah blah, Nixon, blah blah blah, Bush stole my cans of oil....blah blah blah, Cheney hit me upside my head with a Haliburton briefcase...blah......blah blah blah, Jerry Falwell...blah, blah blah blah, Pat Robertson?"

Did I miss anyone? Oh, yes I did! I missed your buds, hezbollah, hiding behind women and children again ;)
