They care deeper...

We all know Google had blocked a lot of websites in the past year and half because “Links to their site violate Google's quality guidelines”.

On the other hands, we all know Google boasting them of "care deeper about end users”.

So, if Google is blocking up to 50% of websites in a particular search term, how can they still be a SE offering a full spectrum of information available online to their end users? Looks like these days being a Google end user has a price.

My opinion: Google care deeper about MONEY; end users are a commodity for them. Their motto is only propaganda, cheap propaganda.

My experience: I have found better results from the past year on bing.com

I see the argument you are making. What you are saying is that if users keep having a poor experience when clicking on a heavily penalized keyword, than the next time they search they may try an ad instead...

From my experience though, I have never seen a site get hit with a manual penalty without breaking the guidelines.

I agree with that. Googles' search results have been ever since this penguin/panda update thing.

I use bing as well because of this.

Back in the days when we used Northern Lights instead of yahoo there were things called paid search engines that companies signed up to for their employees to use. Then along came Google and blew the competition away.

I don't care what search engine you use but if you aren't paying $ upfront then you are paying somewhere down the line. Google are actually quite open about their ads and I don't doubt for a second that being an advertiser or a publisher might give you an edge - no matter how miniscule.

What I've noticed since the changes is that I'm less likely to get a spammy result and more likely to trust a page if it's on page 1. Now I may be kidding myself but that's how it seems.

So, if we all bowl over to Bing we will start seeing more aggressive marketing as they take advantage of a stronger market position. After a while we'll all start complaining about how Microsoft are all about money. No shit! Really?

If you want truly unbiased results with an open algorithm then you need to look for a paid search engine service - I'm sure they still exist and if things are as bad at Google as you claim then people will make the move.
