Henny have you ever stopped to consider that current gas producers might NOT want more refineries? Think about supply and demand....the more supply the lower the prices. Henceforth lower profit margins. It's the same situation with hemp farms versus the paper industry, or alternative medicines versus pharmecutical corps. Can anyone say biodiesel???
Can you say www.greasecar.com I hope I can get a diesel van, but the prices are just a bit too high..
Oh get real, that is so ignorant, if refineries could be built they would. You don't think a company would see all the money to be made by building a refinery? Economics 101. I am so suprised by your hemp crap, probably a goddam Hippy!
Why did they shut down so many refineries in the last decade? High fuel prices can lead to new markets, such as biodiesel, fuel cells, etc... This is a good time for someone who can see an opportunity.
I don’t know if anyone has heard this or not but ExxonMobil’s profits are predicted to go above $10 billion this quarter (69% increase from last year) and they were, also, given a tax break. Nice to know that they are only passing on the cost of this whole crisis and not trying to make extra money. http://business.bostonherald.com/businessNews/view.bg?articleid=101320#
