Jesus felt differently than you about this. Why don't you love Jesus?

I don't feel that I know anything truthful about the man. Certainly not enough to love him. :p

Oh these people and their whining. A pile of naked men? Wah!! Better than a pile of hundreds of thousands of dead in Hussein's mass graves. If you can't see the difference, then you're simply stupid. People that point out every little problem in a war disgust me. Judging by this little "torture" you would not have supported any war that has ever existed because the same thing, even worse, has happened in every single war since the dawn of time.

America are supposed to be the good guys though, Aren't they?
The war is to put an end to abuses in Iraq, Isn't it?

The point of the war (according to those who support it) was to remove a brutal dictator (or to flush out the Taliban, Or to find WMD, It kinda changes over time based on what the ignorant masses are prepared to believe). So to then defend the abhorrent actions by ones own soldiers by comparing them to the dictator we were removing seems like a silly tactic and goes a long way to proving that we aren't much better than he was.

If your defence is "yeah, Well it's not as bad as Saddam" i suggest you have a sit down, Have a cup of tea and re-think your strategy for defending your position.

Address the mistakes and crimes then. We did not treat Japanese people that well during WWII but I still support the allies' efforts. Like I said, in every war you can point to wrongdoing, but those actions alone do not justify condemning the mission. If the world cared they would join us and both help end the mistakes as mentioned here and bring about peace in the region. Instead the world does the opposite. The UN allows dictatorships an equal seat at the table.

Dropping bombs on Nazi Germany created peace by ending their reign of terror across Europe and North Africa.

Dropping bombs on Japan created peace by ending their reign of terror across Asia and portions of Oceania.

So, while that snazzy catchphrase may sound good, it is not in any way reflective of reality.

America are the good guys, those soldiers don't represent the whole military never mind the whole USA.

Saddam was a dictator to 26,000,000 Iraqis, who exactly did the soldiers in that picture rule over? a few & were punished by their own people.

It was wrong what they did & punishment was served, case closed.

Then I don't understand why we supported him in the 80s. Was he not a tyrannical dictator then? If he had not invaded Kuwait over territorial incursions by the Kuwaitis (aka slant drilling) would we still allow him to be in power today?

The Princes of Saudi Arabia are no better than Saddam, and they are our trusted allies.

I think the morality on all of this is flexible. Flexible based upon commerce and opportunity.
How long ago was punishment served? Reporters keep coming back from Iraq saying that Al Queda is a much smaller operation than we are led to believe. That most of the violence is Shia vs. Sunni, Sunni vs. USA, and Shia vs. USA.

If we're for Iraq, why don't we let the old women out of jail and stop building 14 permanent bases? I mean, we're all about Iraqi sovereignty, but we're spending $750 million (plus new cost overruns) on an embassy that is larger than Vatican city.

In order to not be an occupier, you have to not establish beachheads and scare people into staying in their homes, then claim the violence is going down...
