I see a lot of hate in this thread.

What I don't see from you haters is any sympathy at all for the victims of Islam -- most of whom are Muslims themselves.

I don't see any love for the humans who are affected by all of this oppression.

I can't imagine any greater hatred than wishing this evil upon my fellow man -- or woman.

AGS, thank you for an amazing idea. You have saved me many hours of time & frustration of dealing with a narrow-minded bigot.

    Thanks a lot... :)

It's nice to see all of the close minded people publicly announcing that their minds are permanently closed.

It's so convenient not having to wonder if they might actually think some day.

Other than non-stop insulting everyone who don't share his bigotry he rarely post anything else. He is actually sad little keyboard warrior and nothing else. :)

This is a face undaunted by Islamic oppression. This is Kurt Westergard, who is living under police protection because a bunch of Islamist bastards are trying to murder him.

Danish police just arrested three Islamists who were planning to murder Kurt.

Islamists caused the deaths of dozens of people in 2006 after they saw some of Kurt's cartoons.

That was in Denmark that the Islamists were trying to kill Kurt Westergard. So much for freedom of speech.

The faces are covered and the victims look to have been beaten beyond the point of resistance, but here are more victims of Islamic oppression.

Here are the boys of Al Qaeda, enforcing Islamic peace by burning their opponents alive.

It's tough being a muslim when your own people are your worst enemy.

As a matter of principle, I do not agree on what Kurt did. I mean it is one thing that two cultures or religions crashes in daily life, but it is another to draw the cartoons just to provoke the reactions. This is giving the extremist groups within Islam another chance to hijack the religion with their own agenda. Also making fun of the Prophet which Muslims holds in great respect aren't freedom of speech or expression, it goes beyond into insulting a religion. Freedom is not absolute, absolute freedom will only be gotten at the expense of limiting others' freedom.

But much as I disagree with Kurt, I must say that those riots, burnings and attempts at Kurt's life are excessive and does more to harm Islam and the Prophet's image than what Kurt had done or will be able to do with his pen. Burning cars and attempting murder is far too aggravated a response to cartoon drawings. If cartoon drawings on the Prophet were wrong (which I believe they were), the reactions of those rioters and attempted murderers would be far worse.

Being free to insult a religion or idea is freedom of speech. His cartoon did not limit anyones freedom to do anything, such as the freedom to not look at it. I can call anyone I like a poopoo face in a country with freedom of speech, I can't say religion is stupid in many countries without that freedom. What Kurt did may have been stupid but it was still in line with your professed reverence for freedom of speech. I only point this out so that you can decide if freedom of speech is worth dying for since I think we both can agree that Kurt seems to think so.

You do have a very valid point here on the freedom of speech. It is a matter of personal choice on whether he choose to exercise it to insult a religion or not.

Though for me I won't choose to exercise it if it hurts the feelings of so many.

And generally, neither would I, at least not as my motivation, although you can not always tip toe around others sensibilities. To truly respect freedom of speech is to respect speech that you do not agree with it and to know that you have the right to say out loud that you don't.
On another note. I understand why Muhammed is revered by Muslims but I do not really grasp why he is held to be higher than any other human? I can understand a Muslim regarding him as enlightened or blessed but it seems he is practically worshiped more than revered sometimes. Does Islam teach that there will never be another prophet like him?

Wisdomtool, It's called giving people enough rope to hang themselves with.

And we should never limit our behaviour based on what a minority find offensive. Nobody has ever died from being offended so it's about time these people grew up, Got on with their lives and stopped telling others what to do.

I applaud Denmark for reprinting the cartoons in protest to the death threats. If only England and America had the courage to do that. Even to this day the cartoons have never been published in American or English media without being censored.

There are so many God-jokes and funny Jesus pics on the Internet and yet no christian ever tried to murder their creators. The problem is that these murderers think they're scoring points for the afterlife by murdering that man, hijacking that plane, blowing up that bus, taking that woman hostage, burning those kids alive etc.

Islam considers dogs to be impure. How many times did they beat the dogs?

They can whip an old man 30 times, how many times do you expect they would whip the dogs?
