I think forums, YouTube, dating websites, wikis and blogs, etc, are totally pointless in this day of age. For example, if you spew about a video game franchise, you can genuinely prove it's not that great any more, because the company ruined it. Showing proof falls on deaf ears, because they are biased, corporate defenders. Or something just as daft. It's just stupid, and it feels rather annoying. Basically, I think you would be better off just meeting people in a pub or a club. You know? Just watch what you say to people you don't know. But yeah, man. I often don't feel appreciated when I contribute online. There's a lot of people online, mind you. But I just get vibes that they're deliberately being jerks because there's something odd about their mindset or their personal aura overall. But that's just me, I guess.
Forums are kind of like shopping malls these days... That said, in the past five days, I have gotten two great tips on two very different, esoteric questions I posted on forums. There is still some value to be shared.
There's this creepy Australian guy harassing me on other forums, though. You can see his nonsense here all across this forum, for example, where he adopted my user name, thesaunderschild. https://anxietyforum.net/forum/forum.php Yeah. Despite all the proof I acquired over the last several years, he's still content to keep on denying he comes from Western Australia. But I've known him on and off since 2004 online.
That was quite a lot to take in, how the f*** is an anxiety forum letting that deranged stuff stand. I couldn't even work out who was who, it was all insane.
I knew him from websites such as Capcom Central, Capcom Europe, and The Horror Is Alive. He even creates multiple identities on Fandom, to edit the same wiki pages that I began, or at least edited. This is because editing them subscribes him to the articles, so he will know about all the subsequent contributions. So he's basically a stalker. These are just articles to do with movies. If he gets kicked off, he just uses a different proxy, and comes back with more accounts. And on YouTube, he subscribes to every channel I start, so he knows when I'm broadcasting or publishing vlogs. He is a real screwball. To say the least.
