There's a forum full of scammers. Should I do something?

    That's the question.

The super admin on this forum is also a scammer (coincidentally also a DP member) and the moderation team has mostly left because of the his terrible job at admining and scamming. Yet there are a lot of legit members who still do trading there. My goal is not to stop the trading. It's only to stop the scamming.

Should I just ignore it and let innocent members get robbed of their money and goods?

What I do is protect users from scamming by driving them to my site for free verification. Afterwards they can go back to the other site with more tools to defend themselves from scammers. But it's against the scammer forum site rules to link to another site. Also I'm banned from the site because I was seen as a competitor and other reasons.

What is the the right thing to do?

I think the best thing is for whoever who has been scammed to contact the authorities and try to get them to deal with it. The guy in question is very easy to track down on Facebook from the whois information.

Very difficult to deal with authorities since these are virtual goods. Yes we have lots of personal info on him already.

Why don't you make a blog about him? And get more links? Rank for the site name? If you can't do anything about it, then fight back with the internet. I know we don't have a problem with the selling, or buying of virtual goods on the communities we're apart of.

Yea we've done that. Actually there is a problem with a market here, you just don't see it. I've talked a member here with 200+ feedback who will not leave negative feedback after being scammed by this user I'm referring to for fear of retaliation feedback.

To be honest there is not much you can do, if you made another account that would most likely be banned within a few days, I think best thing to do would be to contact people , post on forums about this forum, what there scamming , how there doing it and that its up to you if you want to take the risk and continue dealing there
