I think i figured it out. Is this the correct code <br style="soft:soft" /> at least it validated as being correct. I'm learning a lot from you all. Thanks so much.

I honestly dont know. I use dreamweaver cs3 and it puts some weird coding in. I hope that I figuered it out by adding the " style Attribute " Like I said it looks normal and validates

What are you trying to do with the "soft" thing? As far as I know there is nothing with that name.

I'm not trying to do anything with " soft " that's just what dreamweaver had added to the coding. I dont have a clue what it is

Can you take it out? Or does dreambeaver just add it back in? (If it does,I'm sure there's a setting you can change so it doesn't)

I'd take it out. A <br /> is just a break in the text. It can't be hard or soft or loud or quiet.

    i wish i had a soft <br /> your so lucky. hmph.

aha actually, ive heard of this before in dreamweaver, but lord knows what it does. I used to use dreamweaver and it would put softs on random <br />'s when i didnt tell it to, i would just type in <br> and it would change it to <br (something about soft) /> i forget what it actually said :p

Irs a wierd thing that happens try looking in the help in dreamweaver or on adobes website? i have no idea. :p
