There are no good basic site analytics tools...

Is it just me or are there no good, modern, website analytics tools out there?

Google Analytics has become extremely complicated and hard to use and understand.

The rest seem sub-par and haven't been improved since the early 2000s.

There are a lot of event-based analytics tools but they don't do the job of tracking hits and visits very well.

Anyone else? Know of any good ones?

What features do you need and find complicated in GA?

    - Setting up a website(their terminology has changed, and not for the better)
    - Segmenting visits
    - Setting up events

The list goes on. Overall, really bad user experience.

Why not just upload a or a few premade dashboard(s) on GA such as those on dashboardjunkie.com to make it easier to understand? That Is what I do.
