Yeah I am looking for a alternative to Widget Bucks, as someone's clicking my ad's l have had 3 and 4 impressions on a quiet page 2 days in a row with a 100%-120% CTR. So 3 - 5 clicks for as many impressions. I eMailed support and I hope that they understand.
sandyfeet: Stats are update usualy every 24hours. I get this in my Revenue page: "Last updated: 2007-11-09 05:00:01" It seems strange that yesterday I got 2000+ hits on the Text news, but only 200 hits for the Video Feed revenue. Surely both impressions should count? Scoutz: Congrats on your payment!
Are they both on same page ? if they are then one tends to load before the other - hence visitors may stick around long enough for the first to load and not the second.
They are both on same page, and the video for me loads up rather quickly. But I noticed yesterday there was errors being displayed in Video Feeds stating no content found, maybe that was the reason, plus I received an email today from them saying theres a new video player, perhaps thats inter-related too.
can you tell me about this e-mail? I haven't received anything from them and am always interested in any changes they make... thanks
My stats finally updated at thenewsroom. It says there were 5161 plays for a total of $20.64 I'm happy with that amount. BTW, I don't think it's a good idea to place the video feeds at the bottom of the page if you want to make more money. Seems like the autoplay video only plays when a user scrolls over it. So, you just need to put the feed in good enough view....you just need people to atleast glance at it for the autoplay feature to work. $20 a day is a great start for me...now I just need to mash to my other sites to earn more. People who have many many sites could make great money off of thenewsroom!!!
I don't know about the scrolling thing, on my site everything just plays automatically?! Its nice to hear about your earnings, I'm still keeping up a steady income from tnr and I'm looking to increase my earnings all the time!
Auto-Play for me also works instantly, theres no need to hover over the player. Great news you guys!!! I am definately glad to see people getting paid from thenewsroom. I guess I'm wrong about the autoplay feature. Still, I put it in better view anyways. You know, I wish the single video stories also had autoplay because they are much smaller and can fit in with content much better. I am using the music news feed on my site since most of my visitors are between 12 & 30. However, single video game feeds with autoplay is what I wish for.
The terms also say that the Video Feeds should only be embedded for displaying relevant content to visitors of your site & not only for income generation, however given that a couple of members here have the feeds away from the page content and have been paid I think you may well get away with putting the Video Feeds on a proxy site. There seems to be very little quality control.
