    Hey,

    After creating a tiny income generating website, I've become aware of it's limitations and have moved onto creating a large website with a single theme.

    My question is, how does google decide what the theme is, and how far can content drift from the theme?

    For example, I am creating a site about money. That is, it will contain high paying subjects such as loans and investing. However, I'm also writing a few pages about charities (how to do altruistic stuff with your money), shopping (how to save money) and travel (how not to get ripped off when going abroad). Does anyone know anything about the mechanism(s) that google will use to determine the theme of my site, and whether or not I'll be penalised for having such a wide range of subject matter?
