Hi I have recently changed my wordpress theme on my blog. It is only a new blog so limited content, but I hopefully think the theme has been a positive change. My first impressions: - The logo. I don't like it. Definitely you need to get a new one. - It is missing a footer. That would give a more professional look to it.
It is very gray. Have you thought about still keeping it simple but adding a little bit of color? The theme itself is not bad though. I like the general layout and it is easy to read and find things. I like the slider and images for featured posts. The size of that is nice. I would get rid of the Archives and Meta stuff on the right sidebar. I also agree with rmgweb about the logo. The three letters in the circle feel too crowded to me. I like the JGBlogging to the right of it though. If you choose to have an accent color you might want to change the JGB from black to the color. Maybe, instead of the circle with the 3 letters you can have an image of some kind. I think you're off to a good start overall.
Thanks to both of you for your comments. I completely agree with you about the logo, (its something I put together) and as you can probably tell, I 'aint that good.... About the colour, any ideas on the specific colour and where the location of that colour should be, (if that makes sense) Thanks in advance
