Their "Clicks" Bill is greater than the total visitors to my site

We have always tracked visitors to our site through web-stat.com and their code is incorporated on all of our pages.
We have noticed that the number of Clicks has risen substatantially whilst the number of visitors to our site has not.
In May we have been billed for more Clicks than we have received visitors!
Considering we get a large number of referrals from specialist hotel search sites and repeat customers I cannot explain a continual rise in "Click" charges when we have received a relatively stable number of monthly visitors as tracked by Web-stat.
Has anyone elso noticed this phenomenon?

AdWords reporting is almost always higher than your analytics or other reporting tool. If you think the gap is significant contact AdWords support.
