Would this site be breaking adsense's TOS if they had adsense ads on their homepage? I'm not talking about the page that you see after clicking on their daily donation link. www.thehungersite.com Thanks, Ryan
I dont see why it would and to be honest I think it looks like a legitimate site to me. 4,000 alexa ranking is pretty solid.
I am not concerned about the legitmacy of the site. I am concerned about adsense's TOS and whether or not I would be able to use adsense in a similar site. I just found this piece of information in the stickied adsense FAQ: ------------------------------------ Is it OK to tell visitors to click non-Adsense ads on a site with AdSense Ads? Don't!!!! From Critters A friend had Adsense ads on his site and some non-Adsense ads that he made to advertise other areas of his site and his other sites, he asked his members to click them, they got confused and clicked all ads, he was banned. Managed to get back on after many emails to G, but I would not bother if I were you. Any sudden increase in CTR is going to get your site looked at by the Adsense team, and "click my ads" anywhere on your site could get you booted. Don't take the risk! ------------------------------------
Thats a charity site and they know what they are doing. Those ads are not PPC so they should be doing fine with whatever sponsors they have there. You want to make a page with adsense that says click here to support your charity? Thats suicide my friend.
Thehungersite is part of a for-profit company. It just so happens that one of their main goals is to raise money for charity. My site would be similar to thehungersite in that I would have sponsors that make the actual donations. I would earn profit from adsense ads on other pages within the website. I would not ask people to click the adsense ads, and moreover, I would not place adsense ads on the page that has the sponsor links. What do you think? Would this website violate the TOS? Thanks, Ryan
It is ok. As long as the PAGES that contain adsense are not breaking the TOS and the site is not against Google TOS, then it is ok. Peace,
What would those "other pages" offer? It's hard to suggest you anything without having a look at your site.
