I have several site at the hosting palace, for the last several days i have been having alot of trouble with the sites going down, the slowness of sites and since i have only had the hosting for 30 days i asked for a refund as i had to start moving sites to a new host to have them up. The refund was denied and what is sad is I paid for a full year of hosting. Have had the host corrupt one database already, and i managed to get it back up and running only to run for a week and go down again, now i normally won't complain that much but this is out of control. Just a warning to users thehostingpalace is very unreliable. Right now i have an 80% uptime for 30days hosting according to my internetseer account accounts now suspended and they refuse to give refund
nightmare, though go for the paypal claim asap, you still might not get your money back though, as paypal are really bad with claims.
To save some time I'm going to post a couple replies I've made to this person via other forums. Sorry for the length. All of the major database accounts were suspended for security reasons while apache and php were being recompiled, didn’t think people wanted their config files publicly disabled on their domains. Since you mentioned that you moved all of your sites I couldn't verify with you that the account needed to be unsuspended or not. I have unsuspended the account due to this forum, as my email went unanswered about your service. You can bash the way things were done all you want. The attack was set to be a DDOS and DOS attack; the firewall stopped the brunt of the attack and enabled all of the sites to stay online without crashing the server. The DOS attack was causing most of the slow down which was fixed. It took time to go through all of the new reseller accounts that thehostingpalace acquired and make sure all of the virus scans and everything didn't turn anything up to make sure it wasn't a internal server "job" so to speak. Sorry I was too thorough for your liking. I explained every step of the way what was going on and kept most of the sites online during this time even though it was slow. Slow uptime is a lot better than server crashing. You paid for a full year of hosting which is non-refundable after the intro period. The space you have for a year is active and you can do with it what you chose within the limits of the account. A refund will not be given due to something that was fixed and obviously wasn't proved or a "lack of administration" on our behalf. It was an attack on a shared server that was prevented and solved. I have disabled the "server status" for the time being as we're still going through and making sure the server has been secured. ________________________________________________________________ Sure man... If I would have disabled it out of spite I would have terminated the account and deleted everything I could of. In the Terms you agreed to we can refuse business if necessary. There is no reason to bash a name of a company that did and does everything in its power to resolve issues and keep you in the loop. That is what was done and that is what THP does for its customers. Everything is in your account and intact. And just because the other sites were enabled doesn't mean anything, like I said I didn't know if you still had information on the account so I was waiting to hear from you. You can say whatever you want about the hosting but it's better than ever now, even during all the scans that are in progress and are going on the sites are running better than ever. You have access to your hosting account as paid and credit has been applied. -Greg Owner of TheHostingPalace
Sorry to hear that. Is your contract is under the refund period? If it exceed the refund period, then its not possible to request it.
