Theft and unauthorized use of web content , impersonation of label identity

I am writing to inform about the theft of my IP .
The person that bought MY domain www.skinilondon.com , was asked to please give it back or resell it to us.His answer was for £2000 , or no deal.
All my background as a designer as well as my label services and awards are relying on this domain .
Noy only he has bought my domain , but has also COPIED my front webpage for my label skinilondon , he is using a Photograph that is copyrighted as well as contact details and adress that are no longer in use by my label , as well as having a contact e-mail which is not valid.
This has caused HUGE damage to my image as fashion designer , to my lable and to my capacity of trading under my label.
I phoned the guy in ,who is US based , and he said to me that IT WAS WRONG , what he had done, and that he would take my website down,.
I have tried by all means to resolve this in an honourable way .
Can you suggest any ideas in order to resolve this situation ?
    Thanks !

Erm..... so what you have just pasted above ? what is that ? Looks like a BIN of $150 not $2000 , If he has purchased a domain or registered an expired domain providing he takes your content down there is nothing you can do. And even if he doesnt take your content down the only thing you can do is make him take it down , the domain will still belong to him.

Thanks for reply, I would not have a problem paying to get my domain back, when we contacted him , he said that he would sell it back for £2000 not for x amount , but he is still in violation of IP , and that is Theft and it is penalized by law .
You are right , I will make him take it down.
    cheers

Post in his sales thread you will buy it at BIN , then if he's got an inch of decency in him he will sell it back to you. I cant see what the difference would be from you giving him $150 or someone else. IMO its not worth anything to anyone else apart from possible you anyway

File a DMCA with his host - http://monkeywrenchhosting.com/. They will take down the copyright infringing content. You can google "DMCA" to find out the proper procedure.

1st send a DMCA notice to his registrar since he is states for wrongful use of that model photo which is copy righted , 2nd make him a offer he bought it with the intension of cyber squatting it , and the fact that he is in states and you in U.K legal action would cost more then settling with him , though he has no chance of winning it. the term skinilondon is not trade marked by you but is known by and for the use of your label which is your trade mark , this can go both ways , the registrar could suspend the domain too , send a letter to them via your lawyer, no harm in trying that.

btw claudia this the last place i expect to see you !!
