Hi, We have recently launched our new blog, TheDesignersBlog that publishes articles and tutorials focused around website design. As it has only recently become live, we only have a small selection of articles on at the moment but we are updating it daily by adding more and more content. The blog looks good, it's nice and clean and easy to navigate and it's very user friendly the only thing I would recommend is... I think you should get a professional logo.
Thanks for the comment. We were thinking of redoing the logo as it is a bit basic but we thought we would concentrate on the content of the blog to begin with. However the logo is the next thing on the list.
I think you should you should consider filling up the empty space behind the blog title/Description. Also if you change color of the section bars that would be more appealing.
The logo is too simple. Only 1 useful link. Put more ads on it. Otherwise good content blog with easy navigation.

Thanks for the replies. I agree that there needs to be something to fill the space near the blog title/description but not sure what yet... About the ads, I do not really want to add to many adverts because they get in the way and divert peoples attention from the blog itself. At the moment I want to concentrate on getting regular readers rather than making money. Am still working on the logo...
My only criticism would be the logo/header. The logo is poor and you have a massive empty space to the right. Other than that, looking good
Thanks for the comments. Users seem to be undecided about our logo. Some like it and think it is clean and simple yet others think it is too simple and needs something more. For people who think that it needs changing: what sort of logo do you think would go with the blog? If you give us some ideas on what you would like to see, we will try and design something that will fit the profile.

Hey If its a designers blog, i would expect a wow factor when i visit the site, something that a designer will say wohh! nice site ill come here again becuase its my field!. At the moment, no offence to you as im sure you have spent money here.. it looks dull. My advise would be to add some color, some nice clean web 2.0 pastal circles, flowers etc.. grunge it up a bit. Also, please get some good XHTML/CSS coding tutorials up! the web is limited to crappy, un understandable coding tutorials.. a nice set of coding tutorials will bring the right traffic for you. I have bookmarked your site, i think it has some nice resources so for!
Thanks Martyn, some good points there. I will be adding some more articles soon with different content that is more advanced for the more experienced web designer. I agree that the site does need more of a wow factor and I am working on a better design at the moment which will hopefully be completed by tomorrow.
