Yeah - that's exactly what I want to know. I can't write articles on something I have no idea about.

Write (or have someone to write) the content. Post it. Keep track of advertising.

The content can be found online, one just reports on it. Easy. Spend less than 1 hr per day.

All PM's Answered. The site is sooooooo easy to administer. I cannot describe the ease of use. Anyone can do it, and of course I will be available for support, as I want the site to succeed and I want the new owner happy.

    The bidding starts at $5k.

    The BIN is $8k.

Like Mike390 said, I already stated why I was selling. Plus, I do not want to give the site away, I want to sell it.

    On your blog you state:

I was all but forced off of Adwords with $5 and $10 minimum bids (the .30 minimum bids killed me too). Adwords is not cost effective for me, so I am using mostly Yahoo Search marketing, MSN Adcenter and I just began a test with Ask.com's advertising program. Ask has EXTREMELY low minimum bids, so we willsee if there is any substantial ROI.

How long ago did this occur and why do you think Google jacked up your keyword bids?

Thats right. If I was hiding anything, I would not have posted it on my blog. I don't know if you heard, but Google Adwords has begun to re evaluate sites and or landing pages. This occurred at the end of October. So I primarily use Yahoo (formally overture). Most people know this, it is no secret.

Btw, I will probably feel most comfortable dealing with those that have a decent post count and/or 100% positive iTrader. Thanks.

Never said you were hiding anything but leaving this important bit of information out of the description isn't exactly being transparent either. If it's an arbitrage model and Google has already slapped the site it could also happen with Yahoo and MSN as they are heading in the same direction.

I'm a bit surprised the site got hit as it has a ton of content. It's not exactly a MFA site (and a lot of those seem to still exist) Do you think it's because not all the content is original -- duplicate content from Jim Cramers newsletter?

Before you go and make such accusations, the only thing that is duplicated from Mr. Cramer's newsletter is quotes - because I am QUOTING HIM. The rest is re written in a reporting style.

I think you should really evaluate your statements before posting.

Where is xscream? Did he just come in here to naysay and that's it?

As far as AdWords goes, everyone that is in this game knows it is about adaptability. You have to keep up with what is going on or better yet, stay ahead. You go with whichever service is giving you the best ROI. Do you think that I have not shuttled between services before? We all do it. I can change my site a little and get it back to AdWords, but why should I? I have a nice thing going now.
Btw, if the big three were to eliminate arbitragers, then they would all lose SUBSTANTIAL mount of money. These are publicly traded companies. Don't be so naive.

No, I did not just come in here to naysay. My wife just got home and I was helping her with dinner.

I'm not accussing you of anything. As a potential buyer I'm just trying to figure out why Google raised your bids so much. Obviously the Google media bot detects something bad about the content of the site.

I compared your content to Jim Cramer's newsletter and it's not all that different so that is why I mentioned duplicate content.

Do you really expect someone to spend $5k+ without some hardball questions? Getting defensive so easily isn't exactly a selling point.

    Fair enough xscream. My apologies.

I think that it could have been a few reasons, the biggest being the abundance of affiliate links on the page. Even though most of them have been redirected, the ad words rep told me that the bot will still follow them to see where they go.

Another reason could be that the width is such that it does not fit completely inside the window (you have to scroll a little bit to the right).

It could be the similar content, but I personally suspect it is not that because the form/style of content has remained the same throughout and the bids only got raised at the end of last month. Monet everyones got jacked alot earlier than that.

Ok, thanks....that is the type of information I was looking for. Yeah, I think you are correct about the affiliate links being the reason behind the bid increases. I guess there are quite a few but I certainly wouldn't call it a "bad user experience" as Google is implying.

I just don't understand Google's beef with affiliates. They'll continue to let ebay and a bunch of other big companies bid on totally irrelevant keywords but having a few affiliate links on your page and they'll try and push you out of the market. This whole new "landing page quality score" is a bunch of B.S. in my opinion and it's going to piss off a ton of the big players. I understand wanting to get rid of the MFA arbitrage sites but they are taking it too far.

TCR - have you had any luck with posting this sale on SitePoint or other forums (not sure which would be best)?
