Yes, it is. We're still working on the language issue and filtering out bad words/tags from various languages as the number of tags grow.

The button/icon automatically tracks in which tags/categories to place your link(s). Besides getting listed in the directory your visitors will be able to subscribe to updates from your site. There is no work needed from you. We will send our bot to check changes at your pages and send updates to your subscribers.

 

Just installed the button. Nothing happens... surprizing... good alexa ranking.

When you write "Nothing happens" exactly what do you mean? No button?

I'd love to help you but I need some feedback on exactly what the problem is?

Directory keeps growing and we're now ranked at about 27,000 in Alexa.

The button is working and we have happy webmasters that receive some nice traffic back.

 

Installed the code, and as other said nothing happened, so as you would.... I deleted the code. I followed this post and my traffic and am starting to get a small few hits from your site. Your doing me a favour and I will return it... Tomorrow I will look into it more and make sure we both benefit.

A fan of my wife's new website suggested adding thebestlinks button to the site so she can be updated of changes. We have two concerns; is it going to send out notifications with every little editing change and will it work on google sites?

Hi Steve,

All subscribers can set the frequency of updates. Once joining as a subscriber it is also possible to get updates by RSS when logging in to manage subscriptions. We're also working on making it possible to set the "percentage of change" before receiving any update at all.

I'm not sure I understand your second question "will it work on google sites?"?

Your site will also be included in our directory. From there people may find your site and subscribe to updates and/or visit it.

I'm getting old...I just searched for "google sites" and found that Google have some sort of web creation service. I'm not familiar with how it works. Do you have access to the HTML code? Normally it should be possible to just cut and paste the code into the HTML code. If this don't work with Google Sites we might need to create some sort of plugin for it.

 

Iv'e just confirmed that it's possible to edit the HTML code with Google Sites. This means that your wife should be able to use TheBestLinks.com icon/button. Please let me know how it goes.
