The yahoo answers are good for SEO

to answer to the "yahoo answer" with a correspondent source link is a good link building for a website?

 

Although it will be a nofollow link Yahoo is an authority site and Google loves it. In fact a Yahoo question is indexed by Google in only 15 minutes.
To post answers you have to have a Yahoo account. Be carefull your answers don't look spammy or mods will delete them.

 

Ive read a few times recently that it can help build a bit of traffic.

 

i have replied to some answer in yahoo, my reply for that topic was choose like the best and i have about 20 visitors a month from that link, i think is good...

 

Yahoo answers is a good place to get decent traffic. Make sure that you dont sound too spammy even if you put your links on your answers.

 

agree with that. i also get lots of traffic from yahoo answers. just answer appropriately and post your URL as source

 

As with everything Yahoo does, they have taken a great concept and screwed it up. If you don't know exactly how to use it, they will ban you.

Also, after 5 months, the links have not shown up in WMT. What's the point?

Very good to know. Might be helpful for the early stages of a new website, mostly for traffic as I don't think you can set anchor text either.

 

yes no doubt yahoo is good source of information as well as back links too. some one has written yahoo qes is indexed by google only for 15 mins...i didn't get how he could noticed this?

 

Personally, I used it before making a lot of 'good answers'. But apparently, I got banned by yahoo violating their TOS. I just put my blog on the source link and I'm making really really good answers to the questions especially in the topics of personal finance, entrepreneurship, and investments.

 

only when the comments are initially posted. i had 50 comments done there and i was getting around 30-50 visits weekly from Yahoo Answers for 2-3 weeks. then it died down

 

Yahoo answering is good for derive more traffic on your site..

 

Yahoo answer would only give traffic but it doesn't help your keywords to rank well.

Yahoo answer is nofollow but they drive traffic.
Many SEO guy say it doesnt helps in SEO but they are right and wrong.
The reason is nofollow doesnt helps on google SEO but it does helps on yahoo SEO

 

Yeah, it doesnt allow you to have your anchor text; therefore its not so helpful in terms of ranking your website but in terms of promotions and traffic, its really helpful and effective.
