Well the pay is irregular that's for sure, but on average it's at least equal to a day job.

webmaster means someone who is the master of some part of the web. a site owner is a master of his own domain. thats why he is a web master..

the major troubles that they face are:
    1) they need to sit in front of the computer for ages.
    2) not enough ways to exploit the web if ur a new bee
    3) hacked stuff can lead to a huge loss of time and energy, not to forget the data loss
    4) if the site fails, it can be a huge demoralizing factor

Getting yourself in over your head. It happens a couple times a year, don't deny it.

I have a site and the worst thing about it is it's a forum, and even if it's 4 months old now i cant get it to be active, is so difficult to advertise a site.

Actually just today I was at a restaurant and someone my husband knew... a distant relative of his... came by and said hello to us. She asked what he did for a a living and then asked me. I told her I do web stuff and explained in a very basic way what SEO was... VERY Basic... image you are telling a small child what you're doing. Then she started on "Oh... my daughter does the same thing..." and started talking about what her daughter does for a living which is nothing at all like what I do. Also, I really had no clue what she was even talking about... something about educational books or something and then she said it cost her daughter like $100,000 for to have the website designed or something which leads me to believe she had no idea what she was talking about.
