I have windows vista and have had no problems with it. My computer is just as fast as it was with windows xp
My XP has worked out fairly well. I don't recall any blue screens of death over the last few years. I'm happy with it, I think
I'm using Vista aero whilst running the Opera browser and am only using 600mb of RAM, but that's still pretty high
I've had vista for months and have had no problems. Try contacting the software companies and their advice.
I've yet to upgrade to vista but according to Microsoft they will continue to support XP users till 2014 but will stop selling the actual product June 30th.
for now, i agree vista is bad, but not the worst os out. yea, it does require your computer to have higher specs, otherwise you should use something like XP or linux.
Lol windows XP owns vista. Vista is for noobie beginners that get viruses from every download. I would just reinstall windows over your vista.
So far, Windows Vista has not helped me. At all. UAC gets in my way, the sound control doesn't do what I want it to do, some of my old games don't work, the "All Programs" menu is stuck in a stupid little box rendering it completely useless, file permissions are a lot more annoying to manage, the date/time adjustment tools are irritating, Macromedia Fireworks doesn't work properly... I could go on for a long time. It's just all the little things that annoy me, I suppose, but it all adds up! The things that I like about Vista? The search box in the start menu, Windows Aero, Inkball, the re-sorting of the user folder, and that's about it. Apart from those things, Vista is just a pretty face. I really hope you're not talking about User Account Control. I mean, sure, it makes Vista nice and secure, but it's incredibly annoying. Lots of people have UAC disabled, because it runs like a dog. Oh, and I have never used Flip3D. Alt+Tab does a better job.
No, not about that, I hate it, and it's the first think that gets disabled. I'm talking about overall security.
isnt microsoft planned to launch a new o/s next year? Personally I can't stand vista. It was a good try on microsofts part, but im just too "comfortable" with windows xp.
Looks like a trick question to me, I was going to say Windows 95 - though people might debate if that's a true operating system or not (because of DOS!). Okay I'll pick on Microsoft's DOS because it was a rip-off of CP/M (or CP/M v2.2 on the 8bitters to be persise to be Disassembled, translanted to 8086 instructions to become QDOS - the rest is history!) - you want DOS try DRDOS 6 or 7 (both derived from CP/M-86 minus the ".CMD" file support) or Free DOS!
