The worst Adsense click thrus ever! Can you beat it?

How can you go wrong with 3 different ads for a free PS3... I wonder if you get any triple clicks. Seems if someone wanted a free PS3, they might be inclined to click on all 3.

 

I would think that is normally true, but with his color scheme those ads seem to be a bit lost. I might suggest going the opposite way and make them stick out.

At this point it could hurt.. Maybe a nice bright background so they standout. I am fan of the blended ad.. but as someone else mentioned, people tend to use forums in a particular way.

And there is nothing color blended about the ads I see on the top here.


Also I didn't see any ads in the messages themselves.. Perhaps an adlink blended after or before the first post... or some other integration.

I am a novice at all this so take anything I say with a grain of salt... Just making some casual observations.

 

I wanted to do the same border and background for the banner ad unit.. but apparently google has told several people here with images next to the ads that the border needs to be visible around the ads so there's no "connection" between the images and the ads. I think google is mad about the technique, hence the sudden "ad optimization" where it throws off the images

 

Yeah, you should be doing way better than that on forums... I have about a 1.5%-1.9% page CTR on my photography forum...

Today, will be the real test as I am going to take down the banner ad on the top of my page and move the google ads there and put the banner at the bottom.

.2% would be a great victory and .3% would result in a walk to the local pub for a pint of Guiness.

 

are we allowed to post such stats now? is this addressed in the updated TOS?

I don't know if I can get to .3%...right now I am using ads that blend it..white background on white background....is this the best option or should I put some color in the google ads?

got rejected from casale media and interclicks. I reapplied to interclicks after I made some changes to the site...still wating to hear from tribalfusion, burst! and contextweb. Maybe I'll try doubleclick?

Has anyone had any success selling their own banner ads and popunders? I got over 36.000 unique visitors yesterday..and 140,000 page views... what are the best banner ad / pop under delivery scripts?
