Pretty interesting I guess. You would expect the less aristocratic and more cosmopolitan candidate to be popular internationally. Although my man Ron Paul did quite well when people knew who he was and what he stood for (internationally).

Maybe people can't get behind Hillary because they know she really isn't antiwar, or perhaps they remember the war crimes of her husband Bill in the former Yugoslavia.

If Obama can get us out of that lie of a war ill accept him, but i know RP would be the best guy for the job economically(long term). Im just tired of hearing about so many people dying every day.

The President is Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces. He can move them around at his discretion.

Well, on that you are correct. However, the President can do some very interesting things, like issuing executive orders to the Sec. of the Treasury. IIRC, Bernanke will also end his 5 year term, so technically this incoming President or the next could nominate the new FED Chairman.

Also, I don't believe the FED could keep the President out of it's OMC meetings, the way they stonewall Congress. The scandal would be a big deal.
