I have seen many other domian names that are adsense theme names that sell information on "How to" do this, and do that. The few programs I have seen also do not display the adsense script throughout their pages. Is it against the terms of service to include "adsense in a domain"? I would think that this is trademark infringment but these programs "help" google while they help themselves by selling information.
If you're selling adsense information, you'd be a fool to give someone a way out of your website that brings you in .01 to .25 when you could sell your ebook for $30.
You are not allowed to use phrases that are trademarked in your URL. Examples can be: "google, adsense, yahoo, msn, microsoft". You can register the domain, but if you get famous, they will snatch the domain away from you after getting a court order. Peace,
Soo true... if you want to have a legit business, never use the big names of big companies... nothing you will gain but harm in the future..
As long as your website don't get too big. Most of the time, they can't be bothered to chase after you from what I've seen.
Especially with the new proposed bill on front of the U.S. Congress... http://davezan.com/2008/us-bill-potential-threat-to-domain-holders/ I respect Dave, he's a fine and generous fellow, I could have linked to elsewhere, but he sent an email telling me of this, so I share in the same spirit. Be Well! ECS Dave
I have alternatives4adsense[dot]com should I be worried btw I dont plan to use adsense in that site _
I agree. I do not have eBooks or material to sell but I was thinking of providing my information for free as a niche site for traffic. Or join affiliate programs that offer the material.
I read the link, I started domainrights.org a few days ago because of this bill mainly because the concerns over generic domains. I think, in short, that we all will be protected by "grandfather clause". I am getting off topic here, sorry.
There is nothing to worry as long as you are not famous enough and not making enough money But the moment you get famous or start rolling in some money-guess what can happen
hehe ok then I dont think that site would become any famous to turn a few heads let alone bring in loads of cash so I'm pretty safe but I saw a lot of sites with 'adsense' even 'google' in the name and still using adsense in the site search for google profits cash or something like that _
