    I voted randomly and after seeing results I'm not surprised - it's completely unpredictable :D Anyway, I have a strange feeling that we'll have to wait till November for the update... Updates become more and more rare recently.

    Well no one can predict about the PR upadate.
    But, as per the past data the update might take place by the 20th of October' 2005.

    I think updates happen each time Page finishes his cigar that is made up of 100 rolled up $100 bills. I think time to create the cigar is taken into account and the burning time of tightly rolled tobacco as well - so 3-4 months is the current time frame. :p

    I know PR is overated next month Google will change the whole system and bring something new out to dangle as a carrot in front of us. :)

    Yet i do love playing with this tool when developing sites between Page Rank updates has been pretty spot if not perfectly correct for me in the past just hoping i get that PR5 on a few of the sites it is predicting this time.

    Would be interesting to start a thread after the update to see how close this tool was for others. The check feature is nice too basically shows you the rank per google server IP that it checks from and shows you your individual rank prediction on each.

    Time for an education (mine). I'd got it into my head that if you're in the sandbox (assuming that it exists), that you would have to have a PR update to "come out" as it were...? Or are they independent of one another (assuming either really exist).

    I do. If you have PR you will have more vaultage/weight at Link Vault and DP Coop. Also, other webmasters will be more "open" to exchange links with you...
