ok, i have 30.000 pages in G. index, 1.500 UV/daily (real visitors, not spirers), PR3, 70.000 BL ... and how much weight can i receive from co-op, is there any a mathematical formula?
Between 0 and 50,000 One of my sites dropped from 16,000 to 150 without any changes in traffic or number of indexed pages - so its almost unpredictable!
Why do they make the weight formula so mysterious? I would like to know how to increase the weight for my site but I cannot find any posts with the actual formula.
Hey, you're wrong. Weight updates once per week. If ads not found on your website then weight goes to 0, you receive a warning email and you have to manually revalidate your website... I am using co-op for so long and I had time to understand how it works...
Well no, you're wrong. If you add a Google Ajax API you can see the weight updated every day at 12:00pm GMT if you check it. If you don't then it just updates automatically every week or so. Its better to check it with the API though 'cos it changes a lot more 'behind the scenes' so you don't know what your weight really is if you don't use the APIs.
Hmm... tell me where exactly I can see the weight updated every day at 12, because I know a different version of what you said. Could you please explain? I mean... any prove if possible...
Well do you have an Ajax API for your site? If so then you can check/validate your site every day. It won't change, however unless its been 24 hours since the last update. If you don't have an API then you don't have the option to check your weight and so it just updates automatically every week or so.
i use api code for one of my websites only but my weight doesn't change every 24 hours, but ok, maybe it is happening to you. regarding your last statement, if you change your url for example from yoursite.com to yoursite.com/ or www.yoursite.com, then, the validation link reappears so you may update your weight whenever you want. hope this trick helps.
Haha I used exactly the same trick before I discovered you could do it with the API! Make sure the API you have is actually for the site you're monitoring and you're not just using the same API on every site. I have the correct API for all my sites and for every one of them the weight updates every 24 hours. Its possible your weight is not changing every 24 hours like mine is. Maybe you have many indexed pages but that number simply doesn't change from day to day so your weight remains the same anyway. I have high traffic sites so the weight frequently changes up and down. I have sites that went from 0 to 20,000 to 30,000 within 48 hours.
I suspect the Co-Op network was one of the reasons Google took action on my site. Completely unrelated new links appearing every day. Ah well, still fun for the average of 2 unique visitors a day from it
i have one question regarding it... how to find a good sitemap tool? that can generate over 10,000 page for xml. it may increase weight.
