Well then everybody does it as everybody gievs "unlimited, email accounts, FTP, addon domains, etc, etc" and that is not possible.... and someone knowing a bit about computers can just support my claims...

I only bad experiance is with primaryvps.com. After couple of down times there sistem just crashed and there site is still blank.

I have work with many hosting companys and I read 1000+ hosting reviews and client complains and I must say that there is 50/50 guilt. Clients expectations are usually to high and hosting companys many times give more that they can. There is almoust (or over)milion of hosting companys and competiton is really hard. So many companys are ready to give more space and bw for same price then some normal 100/2000mb plan would cost. I don't know why some users complain, we all know that companys with big offers oversell like crasy. If you have normal static html without any resourse hungry script you wont be suspendet. In there tos is clearly explained that if you will use to many of resourses your account will be suspended. So how come is there fault if you get suspendet. Support is something totaly else, some companys have good one and some don't even have it. All support staff are not geeks and tey can't help you with everything. Quality staff cost alot and they can't offer cheap plans with so high expenses. So if you buy cheap plan don't expect to get quality and if you offer cheap plans, please don't offer more that you can give. Any really good webmaster know that you can get 300/3000gb plan for 6-10$/month when dedicated server cost more then 100$ with less spave and bw. If you really need this big plan, then buy dedicated server and stop whining.

It is very true that most of the time it is 50/50 that is why i try and get people to give a good reason when they submit a host here to be sure it is the host and not the hostee.'

It is a highly known company.. overselling is probably the case. But there high rep and there not 1 time payment plans really make the company excellent.. I have 100gb on the host no problems ever

also, i'd like to add suprhost to the list.. They have no place to contact them that actually responds and they suspended my account for no reason.. Didnt even have time to put more then basic html pages on it.. Garbage.

I've been with my host for long time now.
And I don't think I will ever change it.
Depends if someone can offer me a better deal.

Just as advice, never change host for less money

If you like the current host service and find cheaper one or same price with more resources, don't change it

stability is the best feature you can get from a host so never risk losing this feature

I use homestead as my web host, and I would advise anyone else against using them if they plan on reselling their domain. The biggest problem with homestead is that they hold your domain hostage, meaning that if you want to sell your site to someone, you can't really do it easily.

 

Why did you get the domain from them in the first place ? or they force you to buy domains from them if you need their hosting ?
