Lately I've been doing alot of research on the right affiliate programs and especially the right type of affiliate products to promote. As you are probably already aware AskAnAffiliate.com is a site that offers a FREE service to merchants and affiliates and has been very popular in connecting merchants and affiliates. Over the last 2 months I have noticed a trend by our visitors and by using Google Analytics on every page I have been able to determine what categories get a spike in traffic. This has made me want to look further and determine why this has occurred. I have found something exciting and think that all of you would definitely like to hear about it. The 3 most categories I have found to have the most visitors over the last 2 months is Health, Wealth And relationships. You will also notice that these 3 categories or topics is what drives our society and what all of us live for. People are always looking for ways to lose weight, they are always looking for ways to make money and finally looking for ways to find the right relationships. I didn't want to just stop there so I ended up looking into this a little further and went on such networks like Commission Junction And Linkshare and noticed something even more obvious compared to other affiliate programs, that relationships, wealth and health affiliate programs had almost double the average 7-Day network earnings compared to any other category. Affiliates that were part of these 3 categories had 2 times more earnings than those of any other category. Now just to put the icing on the cake, if you go into any magazine store you will notice that health, wealth and relationships are the only 3 topics that have a solid magazine following as well. There are several magazines that are dedicated to these 3 categories and they all have several pieces of literature dedicated to them. The back of the magazines have products that they are looking to sell to their readers and I am pretty sure that they have made a huge profit doing so. I called 2 of these magazines and asked them to advertise a product and they informed me that the products they advertise within the magazines already have shown sales and that we would have to have a solid track record before they would even consider us. This just started to ring bells in my head....lol I'm going to give all you guys a jump start, go into any magazine store and pickup some magazines and look towards the back and see what they are selling because these are products that have a huge selling point. Now join some affiliate programs that offer the same products which should not be hard at all especially if you have a CJ account or Linkshare account because everything should be divided up for you anyway. If you don't then you will have to find an affiliate program directory that will be able to show you sites that offer wealth, health and relationship affiliate programs that you can join on your own time. Find some products which are similar to those being offered within those magazine and put them towards the side for now, like I mean write them down and I am working on another post that will show you how to drive traffic to those products and earn you some serious commission.
Looking forward to the 2nd post - Im a newbie to affiliate marketing, just doing my research. It does seem the "holy trinity" is the main stuff that you can make good money on.
I really appreciate your ideas. These ideas are very helpful and useful to choose any affiliate program. Several companies are available on Internet that does not even require their affiliates to have their own website. Here, only the desire of being an affiliate partner is sufficient to enter into this business.
