I came up with an idea to get traffic and potentially sales very high in volume even if you're just starting or you're in an online business shortly. This is the concept! Find respectful, top bloggers in your niche. Connect with them on major social networks (Twitter, Facebook, G+). Share their staff, discuss with them, build up relationship with them. Always give them more than you get in return. Majority of people will notice and respect that! It will probably take some time, but I think it's worth your time! After you build a real relationship, send them an email or even better try to contact them on Skype. Offer business coperation in terms of that you have a product or service (affiliate offer with residual income potential for example) which you want to promote. Ask them to put a banner on their site or even better to send a couple of promotional emails if they have an email list. In return you can split the profit (50/50) and everybody is happy. If there is residual monthly income that is the best situation! The product or service is needed to be top quality! It's essential! I want to hear your opinion about this idea, because I plan to do it! If anybody has experience with this strategy please share it here! Thank you for your attention
The important question is, what happens if after 1-3 months and you fail. You would have ended up at square one. I'm not saying that this method is not effective however if you only use this method, you would be limiting your chances of success. traditional and improved ways building traffic like doing SEO, article or video marketing still works and at least you will definitely have some traffic coming in. My suggestion: Don't use this as your MAIN method of driving traffic or selling, because you would be heavily reliant on others. This puts the ball in their court and it makes you vulnerable.
Good relationship is the key to make sales and build a stable online business. Social media is good way for building good relationship.
Thanks for the advice. The idea here is to provide some value first to everybody out there before, asking for anything. When we add value first or solutions to everybody's lives; the rest comes itself.
This is only one more strategy to implement in the same time with forum posting, video marketing, blog commenting, social media etc. I was not thinking about choosing this as only strategy, it's an add to activities we are already doing! Thanks for the feedback Howard!
You're basically suggesting a JV (if I'm not wrong on my terminology). The relationship thing will only work if you actually cultivate a meaningful relationship with these people in that they know your name and are willing to endorse your product (remember the more "famous" you are, the more you have to lose and the less likely you are to promote just any product).
The problem with this plan is that many people want to have that relationship with those bloggers. Only those bloggers don't look for that many companies, they often ask high prices for representing a company. Owning your own traffic sources at first is always better, it take longer, but in the end you keep the traffic you have generated.
yup, i guess in conclusion, it is just to own your traffic methods and not only rely on others. Try more than 1 traffic generation method, then monitor each ones success rates and use the one that gives you the best result.
This is a great idea for sure. Relationship building is very important to building an online business. Also you may never know -- one of those relationships can turn into a business partner or join venture in the future. I think instead of promoting affiliate links -- I would instead write an article with massive value in it, then ask them to post it on their blog. This will help show you're future visitors that you have knowledge in what you are talking about -- and already let them begin trusting you. After that you can send them to your affiliate link, or better yet a website to capture their email address. Thanks for the tip
I'm fully aware of top bloggers reputation and that is the reason why I said that the product, service or affiliate product needs to be top quality. You need to test that product first! You need to overcome the fear of asking those people to work with you! There are only two possible solutions: yes and no. If someone doesn't want to do business with you try asking another top blogger or marketer.
