The way things are going I suspect Russians will make the war Georgia-Russia a classical military example how to fight and win a war against a terrorist state.
Without killing civilians unlike the Georgians.

In chess there is a saying "Defeat your opponent if you want to be respected."

The Elcin era is gone. These new guys will stand for Justice and dignity and will protect themselves from terrorists.

The toughest job is to bring those responsible for the war crimes to justice.
Some special operations with alpha forces may be needed to accomplish that.

US for example wouldn't let anybody who killed 2,000 Americans go unpunished, so why should Russia let them free and allow them to kill more in the future?

when theres no fairplay from one side, the same rule will spread to the 2nd side. Although, Russia did not break any laws, they have a mandate of peacekeepers in that region for 16 years, if someone attacks peacekeepers they have the right to reply, thats what they did.

    At this time :

10:05 Russian troops not attacking areas outside zone of peacekeepers'responsibility - General Staff

09:59 58th Army will leave S. Ossetia after signing of truce - Russian GeneralStaff

09:10 U.S. blocks emergency meeting of Russia-NATO Council
