The value of Twitter ?

Hi guys

I know if you are a celebrity then Twitter is great and you can build up a following and the followers want to hear what the celebrity is up to. However if you are just an average person with a handful of followers is there any point having Twitter? Wouldn't it just be better to use Facebook?

 

Facebook - you usually connect with people who are your friends
Twitter - you connect with people are interesting to you

Write useful content and you will get followers in no time.

I think twitter is a tough nut to crack.

 

If the content you put on your site interests people and it has actual quality, then the visitors to your site will become followers on Twitter. As they have already shown an interest in what you have to say etc they are easier to market to if you have affiliate programs etc to try and sell to them

 

I don't use twitter to get a lot of followers and be popular myself, I use it to keep up with all the new IM/SEO information being published.
Twitter is a very quick way to get information about new updates and ideas that helps me stay ahead of the competition and earn more.

 

Whit a Twitter You can reach more people,but FB is more friendly and fun...

 

It's not about how many followers you have, it's how much you care about the ones you do have.

 

Yeah i am fairly agreed with you. if you are a celebrity or you have to run a business on twitter then it will be very good to use twitter.

 

It's all about what you want to get from twitter. If you're building your customers, if you want to communicte with them and want them buying more and more from you then twitter is good source for doing that. If you want to share everything you do whole day then twitter is just another time wasting. Deside yourself

 

I think still now, Twitter is less popular than FB.

 

I think ,For personal use it is not better than Facebook.This is better for business use..

i am also have both account but rearrest of the rare case i ll use Twitter....

 

Twitter was nice once before all the marketers and SEO's used it to publish their content. TBH, I believe a post like "I was just taking a shit" adds more value than all the SEo and marketer posts or the guys who claim to make so much money and talk down to you in their (automated) posts. I miss the time when real people used Twitter. Today, it's just 90% bots who try to get you click a URL or DM spammers who instantly auto-dm you with their great offers....

 

I am using twitter to promote my articles. Sometimes it really helps, sometimes is not very helpful. It is very important to have real follower and not bot made fake accounts. If your content is interesting for the followers, twitter can be a great promoting tool. Much better than Facebook.

I haven't seen a great deal of value from twitter yet, but I think you need to have a pretty serious following to make it work for you. Thousands of well targeted followers, not just random traffic.
