    H Guys,

    Does anyone know if at temporary link to your site has any value in the eyes of a search engine? For example, the front page of a massive news site links to you in a narticle which then drops off the front page and isn't archived in the main site. Does that mean you get 1 day's worth of value, or once the link has gone its almost as if you'd never been linked to at all?

    As soon as the link is gone (and they have spidered it and factored it into their serps), you would lose any value the link would have given you.
