The jews never attempted to rid the area of the arabs. Before WW2, Britain decreed that jews could only live west of the jordan river (the eastern border of israel today). The jews only got 25% of the territory - where they were already living. Palestinians and Arabs got 75% of it. Arabs/Palestinians started murdering jews and attacking them since the 30's. The partition (Israel) did not steal land from anyone. Arabs had their land, jews had theirs. I don't see any stolen land here, do you? The UN partition further diminished how much territory the jews got. Whose land is being stolen from who? Israel turned what was, essentially a swamp into a place with better living conditions than many other arab countries - again, which caused arabs to move there- and what's their reward again? Blame for defending themselves from people like you. Nice. Because arabs/palestinians can't live nicely with jews nearby doesn't make it Israel's fault, now does it?

I've never seen hamas in a press conference. But what good would come from targeting civilians? No more good than come from the deaths of civilians at the hands of the US funded Israeli military. If hamas could, I'm certain they would target and hit only military targets. I don't disagree, There was no recognised "country". But there were people living there. And those people were either moved out or forced to live under a Jewish run regime. All the Palestinians, And my self want, is a bit of fairness.
