I voted for Obama, he was the lesser of two evils, maybe. We had to have change in this country, the system that is in place is obviously broken. I really didn't think he could make a difference, but he seemed to genuinly want to help this country get back on its feet. I just don't beleive its within his power, for years people have debated on whether congress or the president are to blame for the complacency that is rotting our government. I am starting to see that, in fact, the power to change and save this country no longer resides in the house of the congress or the president or Washington at all. Their predecerssors and in many cases veterans of our government sold that power to the highest bidders long ago. The government no longer has the power to regulate big business, they can do whatever they want and no one is going to stop them. So, unfortunatley that means that the feds only have power over the little people, and you can bet your last dollar (which may not be far off , by the way) that they're going to squeeze us for all we've got. Billion dollar industries ran themselves into the groun d with years of fiscal irresponsibiltiy, lack of forethought, and good ole American greed, and we pay to bail them out ,wtf, imean wtf, are you f...... kidding me. People better get off there @ss pull their heads out of the sand and demand change. We should be rallying and marching by the millions in every city... but instead we're content to sit back and watch it all crumble on our 60" HDTV's.
Hi we have similar problems and views about what our own successive governments and greedy industrialists have done. I blame Thatcher for alot of the attiudes in the UK............my other half thinks differently but then he is 17 yrs younger than me! Ani
