The US and the greed for oil...

The US are starting to really push for alternative energy. Unlike other countries it starts by making the public aware of the problem and getting support for that push. And that's happening right now.

Are Bush bashers & co still going to bring up the oil greed thing over and over again or are they going to look for alternative excuses to target the US, basically the most powerful nation in the world and therefore source of worldwide envy?

The day we don't need oil at all is a good say for the west, then we can leave those who have oil with a worthless product.

I opened this thread thinking I would find another hate statement about why America is to blame for everything that is wrong in the world! Pleasantly surprised instead, and you are right about the need to push for alternative energy. Thank you, positive rep and wishes sent your way!:)

    Much appreciated Rebecca, thanks!

I am sick and tired of seeing random countries with the weirdest (to say the very least) leaders holding the US and the Western world at ransom just because they have oil.

And what do they do with the money they get for it?

Hand it out to just a few, spend it on weapons, waste it in general...that's basically where Iraq is going, and it's going to be America's fault!

Even climate change is their fault, preferably Bush's, which is usually the easier target...

What worries me a lot is also that oil in the North Sea is running low and I wonder what the UK are going to do about that!

Yeah I really believe it's time that the public starts realizing that we need to push for alternative energies, more than just being environmentalists.

That's just crap if you don't think about where to find energy.

So there you go, spread out the word, let's start building some energy-consciousness...!

    :)

And they have won a few, made others win a few.

I'm sure they made it unworthy to be attacked and protected many other countries from unlawful attacks.

Instead of making silly post, come up with some stats and proof, and correct me with the number of wars US won.

Your posts get worse and worse, Pappy Bush made a big bollocks up of Gulf War One, and not satisfied with that he sent his imbecile of a son in for a second shot at Iraq, and look at what a complete fucking disaster he has made of that.

    I love your "balanced" language.

Anyway, the Kuwaitians are happy, Saddam and Al-Qaeda...I'm not so sure, so what's wrong? Are you on the unhappy side? Too bad for you...:D

Yes, Samantha, but in the US it's picking up faster, from what I see.

What I'd really like to see is some kind of friendly competition, a race to get there, where some alternative energy is, not necessarily cheaper, but cleaner and more available to all.

That's going to be a turning point, isn't it?
